Midwest Conference Inclement Weather Policy
Every effort shall be made to play the games as scheduled.
>If tournament games are not played Friday and/or Saturday due to unplayable conditions, Sunday will be used to complete the conference tournament.
>If no tournament games are completed Friday due to weather or unplayable conditions, the double elimination format will continue as scheduled on Saturday and into Sunday to determine the tournament champion and recipient of the NCAA automatic bid.
>If no tournament games are completed on Friday or Saturday due to inclement weather, games 1, 2 and 3 will be played on Sunday to determine the conference recipient of the NCAA automatic bid. No game can begin after 3 p.m.
>On Sunday, if games 1, 2, 3 and/or 4 have been completed or are in progress, play will resume until the tournament has been completed. No game can begin on Sunday after 3 p.m.
>If no games or only game 1 is played (or 1 and 2) the team with the highest winning percentage within conference play will receive the NCAA automatic bid. If the teams have identical winning percentages, head-to-head Midwest Conference regular season competition will be used. If a tie still exists, fewest runs allowed per Midwest Conference regular season game will determine the NCAA bid team.
>If the tournament reaches only the conclusion of game 3, or game 3, 4 and 5, the team with the 2-0 record will receive the NCAA bid.
>If the tournament reaches only the conclusion of Game 6 and two teams remain, the team with the highest winning percentage within conference play will receive the NCAA automatic bid. If the teams have identical winning percentages, head-to-head competition will be used. If a tie still exists, fewest runs allowed per Midwest Conference regular season game will determine the NCAA bid team.
>All halted game rules will apply to tournament games unless games are not completed by 5 p.m. on Sunday. In this scenario, the game will be considered complete if five innings have been played. If five innings have not been completed, we will revert to the scenario above based on games completed.
