Christian Williams joined the Lawrence University football coaching staff in 2026 as the Vikings' wide receivers coach, bringing extensive collegiate coaching, recruiting and player development experience to the program.
Williams comes to Lawrence after serving as an assistant cornerbacks coach at Sacramento State. Prior to Sacramento State, he served as co-offensive coordinator, recruiting coordinator and running backs coach at Eastern New Mexico University, where he helped develop offensive game plans while overseeing the running backs and the program's recruiting efforts.
Williams previously coached running backs at the University of La Verne and Northwestern State University. He also spent two seasons at Lincoln University in California, serving in multiple roles including assistant head coach, co-offensive coordinator, running backs coach and recruiting coordinator. His coaching career also includes stops at American River College, Pacific University and Lindenwood University-Belleville.
Williams has coached an all-conference player at his position in six consecutive seasons and brings extensive experience in collegiate recruiting and player development.
Williams earned his bachelor's degree in kinesiology and sport recreation management from William Penn University and a master's degree in sport and recreational management from Concordia University Irvine. He is pursuing a doctorate in sport management from Liberty University.
