MOUNT VERNON, Iowa -- The Lawrence University men's soccer team fell 4-1 on Saturday to Cornell College in a Midwest Conference match.
  The Vikings scored first in the opening half, but Cornell tied it at the half and took the lead for good early in the second half.

Konstantinos Fardellas scored for the Vikings (7-9-0, 4-2-0 MWC) to stake Lawrence to a 1-0 edge at the 27:31 mark. Cornell (13-3-0, 6-1-0) tied the match on a penalty kick from Cian McNamara, who was ejected just before the end of the match, at 30:52.
  The Rams took the lead on Zach Miller's goal at 48:54, and Cornell added two goals in the final 10 minutes.

Hunter Lanton stopped three shots for the Vikings.
