Vikings shut out by Beloit

APPLETON, Wis. -- The Lawrence University women's soccer team dropped a 2-0 Midwest Conference decision to Beloit College on Tuesday at Ron Roberts Field at the Banta Bowl.
Beloit scored once in each half and consistently stymied the Lawrence offense.
The Bucs got a goal from Bri Paez at the 14:13 mark of the first half as she scored off a corner kick from Lorraine Pedroza. Beloit (6-4-5, 3-1-3 MWC) made it 2-0 at the 60:59 mark when Mikaila Davis tapped in Natalie Ortiz's crossing pass.
Lawrence (10-6-1, 4-3-0) had an 11-5 edge in shots as Beloit had just three shots on goal for the match. Sarah Yochem made one save for Lawrence, and Audrey Ketterer made two saves for Beloit.
Lawrence ends the regular season on Saturday when the Vikings host Monmouth College. A Lawrence victory would return the Vikings to the Midwest Conference Tournament for the first time since 2011.
