DE PERE, Wis. -- The Lawrence University men's basketball team saw St. Norbert College put on a second-half surge Wednesday to post a 75-59 nonconference victory over the Vikings.
  The Vikings trailed by just five points midway through the second half before St. Norbert went on a 15-3 run to take control. Lawrence didn't get closer than 15 points over the final five minutes.

Brad Sendell scored 21 points and
Kyle Lillwitz added 19 to pace Lawrence (0-2). Lillwitz went 7-for-10 from the floor, including 4-for-6 from 3-point range, and pulled down five rebounds.
  Michael Payant scored 15 points to lead St. Norbert (1-0).
  Sendell hit a jumper to trim St. Norbert's lead to 55-50 with 9:49 left in the game. The Green Knights then went on the decisive scoring run to push their lead to 70-53 with Lawrence's only basket in that stretch coming on a Sendell 3-pointer.

Adnan Sarancic, who had a team-best six rebounds, ended the run with a layup at the 5:04 mark to trim the lead to 70-55, but that's as close as the Vikings would get.
  Lawrence put together a good first half, sparked by a scoring run to build a double-digit lead. The Vikings trailed 14-13 but went on a 12-1 run to grab a 25-15 lead with 5:01 left in the opening half. Sendell and Lillwitz scored five points apiece during that stretch. Lillwitz went 6-for-7, including 3-for-3 from beyond the arc, in the opening half.
  St. Norbert countered by scoring 17 points over the final five minutes of the half to claw back to 32-32 at the half.
  Lawrence returns to action on Saturday when the Vikings travel to Northland College.
