Lawrence falls to 23rd-ranked Titans

APPLETON, Wis. -- The Lawrence University women's basketball team dropped a 66-27 nonconference decision to No. 23 UW-Oshkosh on Tuesday at Alexander Gymnasium.
Oshkosh (9-2) jumped out to a 16-point lead after the opening quarter due to good shooting and pressure defense and never looked back.
Mallory Meyer led Lawrence (5-7) with eight points, and Kenya Earl added seven points and a team-high five rebounds and a pair of blocks. Delaney Brooks added six points as she drained a pair of 3-pointers for the Vikings.
Leah Porath led Oshkosh's balanced attack with 16 points. The Titans shot 51.1 percent for the game, including 62,5 percent through the first three quarters.
The Vikings shot just 17.6 percent from the floor for the game and hit just 2-of-17 shots from beyond the arc.
Lawrence takes a break for the Christmas holiday and returns to action on New Year's Eve when the Vikings travel to Illinois Tech.
