GRINNELL, Iowa -- The Lawrence University men's basketball team started slow on Saturday at Grinnell College, and the Pioneers went on to a 105-69 Midwest Conference win at Darby Gymnasium.
  Lawrence (2-4, 1-1 MWC) shot just 46 percent in the opening half against Grinnell's "system" and trailed by 10 points less than five minutes into the contest. Grinnell (4-4, 1-2) would lead by as many as 26 points in the first half.

Brad Sendell led four Vikings in double figures with 16 points as he hit 7-of-9 shots from the floor. Sendell collected six assists and added a pair of rebounds.
Adnan Sarancic added 14 points, five assists and three rebounds for the Vikings.Â

Daryian Matthews picked up 11 points and pulled down a team-best seven rebounds for Lawrence, and
Matthew Kaznikov added 10 points and three rebounds.
  Patrick Simms paced Grinnell with 20 points.
  Lawrence never made a run in the second half at the Pioneers, who led by as many as 40 points after the break.
  Lawrence gets back to Midwest Conference action when it hosts Knox College on Wednesday.Â
