BELOIT, Wis. -- The Lawrence University baseball team lost both games of its Midwest Conference doubleheader at Beloit College on Sunday at the Ballpark at Strong Stadium.
  Lawrence lost the opener 10-6 and fell 9-5 in the nightcap.
  In the first game, Lawrence's
Spenser Ross went 2-for-3 and scored a run, and
Stephaune Haylock was 2-for-4.Â
  The Vikings tallied single runs in the first, sixth and seventh, including a solo home run from
Clayton Agler in the opening inning. Beloit then broke open a close game with five runs in the eighth inning to take a 10-3 lead.Â
  The Vikings (9-7, 3-5 MWC) weren't finished yet and came back with three runs in the ninth courtesy of a three-run blast from rookie
Quinn Berglin, who now has six homers on the season. The Bucs then recorded the final two outs to secure the win.
  AJ Parnell allowed six hits over 5.1 innings to get the win for Beloit (8-0, 6-0).
Michael Duttlinger allowed nine hits and five runs over six innings and took the loss. He struck out four and did not walk a batter.
  In the second game, Beloit again broke open a close contest late with four runs in the seventh innings. The Bucs were clinging to a 5-4 edge when they scored four times in the seventh.Â

Jacob Charon went 2-for-4 and drove in a run, and Haylock was 2-for-3.
Mitchell Sandleback drove in a pair of runs for the Vikings, and Ross scored twice.Â
  Lawrence trailed 2-0 before Charon had a run-scoring single and Sandleback picked up a sacrifice fly to tie it in the third. The Bucs then pushed the lead to 5-2 after four innings.
  Sandleback delivered another sacrifice fly to score Ross in the fifth, and
Elden Santana had a sacrifice fly to score Berglin in the seventh to trim the margin to 5-4.
  After Beloit pushed the lead to 9-4 in the seventh, the Vikings picked up a run on Berglin's RBI single in the eighth to complete the scoring.
  Jake Matise tossed 2.2 innings of two-hit relief to get the win.
Jordan Schaefer gave up seven hits and five runs over four innings and took the loss. He struck out five and walked one.
