APPLETON, Wis. -- The Lawrence University women's soccer team was edged 2-1 by St. Norbert College on Sunday in a nonconference match on Ron Roberts Field at the Banta Bowl.
  St. Norbert (1-2) got the first two goals of the contest, but the Vikings (5-2) scored late to tighten things up.
  Lawrence had the first chance to get on the board in the opening minutes of the second half when the Green Knights were whistled for a foul in the penalty box.
Ellie Younger took the ensuing penalty kick, but St. Norbert goalkeeper Lilly Collins guessed right and knocked away Younger's shot, which would have found the lower right corner of the net.
  St. Norbert finally broke the scoreless tie with Abby Thompson's goal off an assist by Lizzue Guerin at the 73:17 mark. Thompson made it 2-0 with a goal at 81:12, but the Vikings countered.

Cambrie Rickard, who was slicing through the middle of the St. Norbert defense. Rickard split a pair of defenders and beat Collins for a goal with 1:17 remaining. The Vikings pressed back into the St. Norbert penalty area in the final minute but were unable to come up with the equalizer.

Sarah Yochem was outstanding again in net and made 11 saves. Collins stopped three shots for the Green Knights. Â
