Vikings fall at Lake Forest

    LAKE FOREST, Ill. -- The Lawrence University women's soccer team opened Midwest Conference play Saturday with a 3-0 loss at Lake Forest College.
    The Foresters scored all three goals in a span of 14 minutes to claim the win at Farwell Field.
    Julia Larson gave Lake Forest a 1-0 lead with a goal in the 54th minute and then added a second tally in the 62nd minute. Lake Forest closed out the scoring with a goal in the 68th minute.
    Lawrence goalkeeper Sarah Yochem made four saves for the Vikings (5-4-0, 0-1-0 MWC), and Maggie Kersting stopped two shots for the Foresters (4-4-0, 1-0-0). Lake Forest had a 12-5 edge in shots.
