SPOKANE, Wash. -- The Lawrence University men's soccer team fell 4-0 to Whitworth University in a nonconference game on Saturday.
    Whitworth scored all four of its goals in the first 21 minutes and improved to 1-0-1 on the season.
    Beckett Arthur started the scoring with a goal at the 9:15 mark, and Jaime Rodriguez made it 2-0 with a goal at 15:44. The Pirates scored again at 19:30, and Arthur got his second goal of the match with a score at 20:13.
    Two Whitworth goalkeepers combined to make three saves, and Hunter Lanton stopped six shots for the Vikings (0-2-0). Whitworth posted a 17-7 edge in shots for the match.
    Lawrence completes its trip to Washington state with a match Sunday against Whitman College.
