APPLETON, Wis. -- Lawrence University women's track and field standout
Cristyn Oliver won a pair of races and was named Midwest Conference Track Performer of the Week.
  Oliver (Redondo Beach, Calif./Bishop Montgomery) won both the 3,000 meter and the mile run at the Red Hawk Opener in the Vikings' indoor season debut.Â
  Oliver led a top-three sweep in the 3,000 for the Vikings. Oliver won the 3,000 with a time of 10:58.06, the fastest time in the Midwest Conference this season. Teammate
Althea Foster was second at 11:05.09, and
Riley Winebrenner grabbed third place at 11:08.11.
  Oliver also raced to first in the mile run in a great battle with North Park University's Patrycia Miazek. Oliver won the race in 5:22.34, and Miazek was second in 5:22.69, just .35 seconds behind. Oliver's time also is the quickest in the league this season.
  This is Oliver's sixth conference weekly award of the year after capturing five during cross country season.
  Lawrence returns to action on Feb. 5 when the teams return to Ripon College for the Red Hawk Invitational.
