Vikings battle to tie at Ripon

    RIPON, Wis. -- The Lawrence University men's soccer team battled to a 1-1 tie with Ripon College on Tuesday in a Midwest Conference match at Prairie Field.
    Lawrence trailed 1-0 in the final 15 minutes of the match when Konstantinos Fardellas scored for the Vikings. Fardellas took a pass from Derek Morales and beat Ripon goalkeeper Kalan Narance to tie the match at 75:14.
    Ripon had scored with less than four minutes remaining in the opening half to take the lead.
    Lawrence posted a 17-9 edge in shots for the match, including an 11-6 advantage in shots on goal.
    Nason Lancina made five saves for Lawrence (2-8-3, 1-2-1 MWC), and Narance stopped 10 shots for Ripon (4-6-3, 2-1-2).
