APPLETON, Wis. -- The Lawrence University football team dropped a 35-0 Midwest Conference decision to Knox College on Saturday on Ron Roberts Field at the Banta Bowl.
  The Vikings had trouble containing Knox's running game as the Prairie Fire posted 271 yards on the ground. Knox pulled out to a 21-0 lead at the half before adding a pair of second-half scores.

Jack Sweeney led the Lawrence ground attack by running 19 times for 74 yards. Sweeney completed 12-of-18 passes for 118 yards.
Jake Spencer caught four passes for 39 yards for the Vikings, and Aidan Williams and Jackson Barbour had three catches apiece.
  Lawrence had several good chances to score and penetrated Knox territory on multiple occasions. Lawrence's offense was derailed by two lost fumbles and an interception.
  Rookie linebacker Chris Lozano and defensive lineman
Allan Garcia tied for game-high honors with nine tackles apiece. Garcia also recorded a sack. KJ Sweeney and
Ian Thomas had eight tackles apiece, including a TFL for Thomas. Rookie linebacker Jon Pasquarello had seven stops and recovered a fumble.
  Knox quarterback Kaile Williams ran 12 times for 67 yards and posted four rushing touchdowns. He also completed 4-of-6 passes for 76 yards and a touchdown.
  Lawrence finishes the home portion of the schedule next Saturday when the Vikings host the University of Chicago.
