BUFFALO, N.Y. -- The Lawrence University men's hockey team lost a 2-1 nonconference heartbreaker at Buffalo State University on Saturday.
  Lawrence pummeled the Bengals with 45 shots but came away with only one goal, a first-period tally by
Zack Olen.
  Buffalo State's Tyler Vanuden scored both goals for the Bengals and both came on the power play. Buffalo State was 2-for-3 on the power play in the game. The Vikings went 0-for-3.
  Vanuden scored at the 5:16 mark of the first, but the Vikings quickly countered. Olen scored on the man-advantage at 12:39 off assists from
Ivan Galaguzov and Matt Ernst to even the score at 1-1.
  It stayed that way until Vanuden scored again on the power play at 13:18 of the second for a 2-1 edge.
  Buffalo State goalie Emil Norrman kept the Vikings off the board the rest of the way as he made 17 saves in the second period and 15 more in the third. He finished with 44 saves. Lawrence's
Brian Tallieu stopped 29 shots for the Vikings.
