BELOIT, Wis. -- The Lawrence University swimming and diving teams swept a dual meet from Beloit College on Saturday at Nicholls Natatorium.
  The Lawrence men won 121-54, and the Lawrence women won 107-93.
  The Lawrence men had four competitors win two events apiece.Â
    Keegan Mencke grabbed first in the 1,000-yard freestyle in 10:38.77 and was tops in the 100 breaststroke in 1:06.02. Leighton Frater was first in the 200 freestyle in 1:59.76 and took first in the 100 backstroke in 57.75 seconds. Michael Thorson won the 200 individual medley in 2:09.32 and swam to victory in the 500 freestyle in 5:18.44.
    Jackson Bertman won both diving events for the Vikings. He was first on the 1-meter board with a score of 242.15 and was first on the 3-meter board with a score of 217.40.

Alex Bemben was the other individual winner as he took the 100 butterfly in 59.43 seconds. The 200 freestyle relay team of Kevin Byrne, Bemben, Thorson and Mencke swam to victory in 1:40.79.Â
  On the women's side, Mattie Letendre led the way with a pair of wins. She grabbed the top spot in the 50 freestyle in 26.20 seconds and took first in the 100 butterfly in 1:00.74.Â
    Irina Starostin was tops in the 100 freestyle in 58.00 seconds, and Stella Macfarlane was first in the 200 individual medley in 2:23.80. Krissy Landon took first in the 200 freestyle in 2:15.68, and Alyssa Kucharski won the 1,000 freestyle in 13:57.71.
  The 200 medley relay team of Olivia Ashe, Macfarlane, Letendre and Starostin grabbed first in 2:00.40.
