SUPERIOR, Wis. -- The Lawrence University men's basketball team endured a cold shooting night and dropped an 80-43 nonconference decision to Central College on Saturday at Mortorelli Gymnasium.
    The game was part of the Merrill Thompson Classic at UW-Superior.
    Lawrence shot just 30 percent (18-60) from the floor, including a frigid 20.8 percent (5-24) from beyond the arc.
    Rookie forward Nick Hesch led Lawrence with 10 points, and Johnny Semany added nine points and three assists for the Vikings (0-3). Elliot Jung chipped in with seven points, and Adnan Sarancic grabbed a team-best six rebounds.
