MILWAUKEE, Wis. -- The Lawrence University men's hockey team dropped a 4-1 Northern Collegiate Hockey Association decision to MSOE on Friday at the Kern Center.
  MSOE broke open a tight contest with a goal midway through the third period and added an empty-net goal to seal the victory.
  The Raiders jumped out to a 2-0 lead on goals by Seth Bernard and Brennan Dickey in the first 13 minutes of the opening period.
  Lawrence (0-5-0, 0-3-0 NCHA) got a huge boost when
Zach Lodes scored off a pass by
Jack Michels with just 12 seconds left in the opening period to trim the lead to 2-1 after one.
  The score stayed that way until Dylan Hadfield scored at the 8:29 mark of the third period, and the Raiders tacked on an empty-netter with 1:49 left.

Owen Carlson made 34 saves for the Vikings, and Nick Stofcheck stopped 20 shots for the Raiders (4-1-0, 3-0-0).
  Lawrence went 0-for-3 on the power play, and MSOE was 1-for-4.
  The teams wrap up the series on Saturday night at the Appleton Ice Center.
