FOND DU LAC, Wis. -- The Lawrence University women's basketball team used a big fourth quarter Friday to post a 79-65 nonconference victory over Marian University at Sadoff Gymnasium.
  Lawrence outscored Marian 23-16 in the fourth quarter to pull away for the victory.

Mallory Meyer paced Lawrence (5-6) with a double-double of 20 points and a game-high 13 rebounds. Meyer went 9-for-14 from the floor and 2-for-2 from the foul line.Â

Maggie Culver came off the bench to score 19 points and added four assists and three rebounds for the Vikings. Lawrence's
Emma Carlson was a rebound shy of a double-double as she finished with 11 points and nine rebounds.Â

Lydia Lueck and
Delaney Brooks added nine points apiece for Lawrence.Â
  Lawrence had taken control of the game in the second quarter with a 15-3 run that broke a 19-19 tie and gave the Vikings a 34-22 advantage with 3:10 remaining in the first half. Carlson scored five points in that stretch and Lueck added four to help the Vikings go on to forge a 41-30 lead at the half.
  Marian came out strong in the third quarter and grabbed a 46-45 lead midway through the period. Lawrence then finished the third quarter on a 14-3 run to turn the momentum. Carlson started the run with a pair of free throws to give Lawrence the lead back for good, and Meyer added a pair of baskets during that stretch. Rookie guard
Josie Eager hit a 3-pointer in the final seconds of the quarter for a 56-49 Lawrence lead.
  Eager followed with another triple to start the fourth quarter and the Vikings' lead bulged to double digits at 59-49. After the teams exchanged free throws, Lawrence got a layup from Meyer and a Brooks 3-pointer for a 65-50 lead with 7:07 left.
  Lawrence would lead by as many as 16 points after that, and Marian never got closer than 12 points the rest of the way.
  Kiara Williams paced Marian (2-7) with 21 points and 10 rebounds.
