WINTER HAVEN, Fla. -- The Lawrence University baseball team posted a rout in game one of its nonconference doubleheader with SUNY Cobleskill, but the Vikings settled for a doubleheader split.
  Lawrence won the opener 20-5 and Cobleskill took the second game 4-2.
  In the first game, Lawrence pounded out 16 hits and four innings with at least three runs, including two six-run frames.Â

Jacob Charon went 3-for-4 with a double, scored three runs and drove in three runs for the Vikings (4-3).
Zach Leslie went 2-for-4 with a double, drove in five runs and scored a pair of runs for Lawrence.

Taylor Freeman went 2-for-4, drove in three runs and scored twice, and
Parker Knoll went 2-for-5 with two runs batted in and two runs scored.
Nick Heerde went 2-for-3, scored three runs and drove in a run for the Vikings.
  Lawrence's
Richie LaCien pitched the first five innings to grab his first collegiate victory. LaCien allowed four hits, four runs, struck out five and walked four.Â
  Lawrence jumped on the Tigers in the top of the first with three runs, highlighted by
Spenser Ross' run-scoring triple. Lawrence tacked on a run in the second on Knoll's RBI single for a 4-0 lead.Â
  Cobleskill (6-5) cut the lead in half with two runs in the bottom of the second, but the Vikings immediately added to their lead.
  Lawrence scored six times in the third, and Charon got it started with a run-scoring single. The Vikings then loaded the bases, and Leslie smacked a three-run double to put Lawrence up 8-2. The Vikings picked up two more runs on Knoll's groundout and a Cobleskill error for a 10-2 lead.
  The Vikings added four more runs in the fourth with Leslie delivering a two-run single to give the Vikings a 12-4 edge.
Jake Land followed with a double to score Leslie, and Heerde added a single to score Land for a 14-2 lead.
  The Tigers trimmed the lead to 14-4 in the fifth, but Lawrence then scored six times in the top of the sixth. The Vikings loaded the bases before
Jeffery Cambra came through with a two-run single for a 16-4 lead. After a walk, Charon smacked a two-run double for an 18-4 lead. Freeman then punched a two-run double to left and hte Vikings led 20-4.

Dylan Hunt worked the final two innings to close out the game for the Vikings.
  In the nightcap, Cobleskill got a solid pitching performance from Wyatt Palmer, who got the win after allowing just two runs over five innings.Â
  Cambra went 3-for-4 with a triple and scored a run, and Knoll was 2-for-4 and scored a run.
  The Tigers scored three times in the first against rookie starter
Shane Foley, who settled in after that. Foley allowed just four hits and three runs over four innings. He struck out five and walked two.
  Lawrence trimmed the lead to 3-1 with a run in the third.
Colin Wieska led off the inning with a single but was erased on Knoll's fielder's choice. Knoll then stole second and third before coming home on Ross' sacrifice fly.
  The Vikings trimmed the lead to 3-2 in the fifth after Cambra got things started with a one-out triple.
Quinn Berglin followed with a run-scoring double, and the lead was down to one.
  Lawrence had the tying and go-ahead runs on base in the sixth but couldn't get a two-out hit to keep the rally alive. Cambra singled to start the seventh but was thrown out at second to end the threat.
  Lawrence returns to action on Tuesday when they take on Hamilton College.
