CLERMONT, Fla. -- The Lawrence University softball team fell 9-0 in six innings to Middlebury College in a nonconference game on Friday.
    Middlebury scored two in the first inning, added three more in the fourth and put the game away with four runs in the sixth.
    Lawrence was limited to two hits, a double from Mattigan Haller and a Mary Boyle single, by Middlebury pitcher Jewel Ashbrook. She struck out five and walked one to get the win.
    Three Lawrence pitchers allowed eight hits and issued nine walks.
