Box Score   GRINNELL, Iowa -- The Lawrence University baseball team fell 5-3 to Grinnell College on Sunday in the finale of a Midwest Conference weekend series.
  Lawrence took two of three games from the Pioneers as the Vikings opened league play.

Mitchell Sandleback went 2-for-4, homered and drove in a pair of runs for the Vikings.
Parker Knoll also was 2-for-4 for the Vikings, who were limited to six hits.
  Lawrence (7-6, 2-1 MWC) jumped on top in the opening inning when
Parker Knoll singled and later scored when
Jacob Charon reached on an error for a 1-0 lead. Grinnell took the lead back with four runs in the bottom of the third and pushed the lead to 5-1 with another run in the fourth.
  The Vikings cut into the lead in the seventh.
Taylor Freeman started the rally with a one-out single, and Sandleback then blasted a two-run homer to left field to trim the margin to 5-3.
  Lawrence brought the tying run to the plate in the eighth but couldn't cash in. The Vikings went down in order in the ninth to finish the game.

Elden Santana started for the Vikings, threw three innings and took the loss. Garrett Nasif allowed six hits over seven innings to pick up the win for Grinnell (4-11, 2-4).
