MILWAUKEE, Wis. -- The Lawrence University volleyball team dropped a 3-0 nonconference decision to Alverno College on Saturday at the Blue Angel Bash.
  Alverno topped the Vikings 25-11, 25-23, 25-17 at the Bloechl Center.
  After the Inferno took the opening set, Lawrence stormed back in the second set. The Vikings grabbed a 15-8 edge, but Alverno crept back into the set before taking the lead late and holding on. Alverno then hit .318 to take the final set.
  Rookie
Kylie Naylor was again the top hitter for the Vikings as she picked up 11 kills against just one error for a .294 hitting percentage.
Hilirie McLaughlin added seven kills, and
Aliana Butler-Gray added five more for the Vikings.

Dana Mestey paced Lawrence with 27 assists and picked up 12 digs.
Kali Pfannerstill led the team with 15 digs, and
Marife Entenza chipped in with eight digs and a pair of aces.
  Lawrence wraps up the Blue Angel Bash on Saturday with a match against host Mount Mary University.
