Vikings shut down by No. 15 Loras

    APPLETON, Wis. -- The Lawrence University women's soccer team dropped a 4-0 nonconference decision to No. 15 Loras College on Tuesday on Ron Roberts Field at the Banta Bowl.
    The Duhawks scored two goals early and snapped Lawrence's four-game win streak.
    Loras (5-0-2) got a a goal from Ryleigh O'Brien just 1:06 into the match and added another from Bella Talbot at the 2:45 mark. O'Brien scored her sixth goal of the season at 26:35, and Loras had a 3-0 lead at the half.
    The Duhawks tacked on a fourth goal from Abby Ericksen just 36 seconds into the second half to complete the scoring.
    The Vikings got a solid game in net from goalkeeper Sarah Yochem, who made 12 saves. Lawrence (4-4-0) was limited to two shots and didn't have a shot on goal in the contest. 
    Lawrence returns to action on Saturday when the Vikings open Midwest Conference play against Lake Forest College.
