WAUKESHA, Wis. -- The Lawrence University men's soccer team dropped a 2-0 nonconference decision to Carroll University on Wednesday at Schneider Stadium.
  An own goal in the 27th minute gave Carroll (5-3-0) the lead, and the Pioneers added an insurance goal in the 70th minute.

Nason Lancina made a season-high 14 saves for the Vikings (1-5-1). Tyler Hanson made three saves to record the shutout for Carroll.
  Lawrence falls to 1-5-1 and opens Midwest Conference play on Saturday against Lake Forest College.
