EAU CLAIRE, Wis. -- The Lawrence University men's soccer team saw a tight match get away quickly in the scond half Wednesday in a 5-0 nonconference loss to No. 24 UW-Eau Claire at Simpson Field.
  The Blugolds, who have won 13 straight to start the season, held a 1-0 lead at the break but expanded the advantage early in the second half.
  Eau Claire's Carter Thiesfeld scored just 31 seconds into the second half to push the lead to 2-0. Nathan Donovan missed a penalty kick in the 57th minute as
Ethan Uribe made the save for the Vikings. Donovan got the ball back and scored to make it 3-0.Â
  The Blugolds added goals in the 66th and 75th minutes to complete the scoring.
  Uribe made eight saves for the Vikings, and two Eau Claire goalkeepers were forced to make one save to complete the shutout.
