FOND DU LAC, Wis. -- The Lawrence University men's hockey team dropped a 1-0 overtime decision at Marian University on Friday in a Northern Collegiate Hockey Association game at the Blue Line Ice Center.
  The game was part of the Battle of Highway 41 series, which will conclude with Saturday's game at the Appleton Ice Center. Lawrence currently has possession of the traveling trophy.
  The lone goal in the game came after 60 minutes of scoreless regulation when the teams went to the 3-on-3 overtime.
  Marian won the race to the puck after the opening faceoff and Blake Kleiner fed Jaymes Knee on a 2-on-1 breakaway. Knee's shot got past
Owen Carlson just nine seconds into overtime.
  Carlson was superb in net for the Vikings (2-13-1, 1-8-0 NCHA) as he stopped 33 shots. Colby Muise made 23 saves to get the shutout for Marian (6-10-0, 3-6-0).
  Lawrence went 0-for-3 on the power play in the contest, and the Vikings were not whistled for a penalty in the contest.
