APPLETON, Wis. -- The Lawrence University men's basketball team pulled away late Wednesday to post a 59-50 Midwest Conference win over Beloit College at Alexander Gymnasium.
  Lawrence took a four-point and expanded it to double digits in the final five minutes to beat the Bucs.

Matthew Kaznikov paced Lawrence with 13 points, hitting a pair of 3-pointers and added a pair of rebounds.
Adnan Sarancic added nine points and collected game highs with a career-best 15 points and five assists.Â

Johnny Semany hit multiple big baskets as scored eight points on 4-for-6 shooting from the floor and added three assists. First-year forward
Parker Prahl picked up seven points and grabbed a season-high 10 rebounds for the Vikings (8-11, 5-5 MWC), and
Elliot Jung had seven points and three assists.
  The Vikings led by nine points at 36-27 after
Arnav Jain drilled a 3-pointer with 14:05 left in the game. The Bucs tried to rally, but 3-pointers from Prahl and Sarancic helped the Vikings to a 48-38 lead with 6:41 remaining.
  Back-to-back 3-pointers from Beloit trimmed the lead to 48-44 with 5:34 left.Â
  Semany took over on the offensive end over the next two-plus minutes. Semany hit a driving layup to push the lead to six, and after a Beloit miss, Semany scored again in the paint to give the Vikings a 52-44 lead. After a Beloit free throw, Semany got a fastbreak layup, and the Vikings led 54-45 with 3:47 remaining.
  The Vikings added a free throw by
Nick Hesch, and Sarancic split a pair of defenders going to the basket for a layup and a 57-45 Lawrence lead with 2:34 remaining.Â
  Lawrence got a defensive stop and a Beloit turnover on the Bucs' next two possessions to help seal the win. Beloit did get a 3-pointer from Caden Anderson to trim the lead to 57-48 with 53 seconds left, but Kaznikov hit a pair of free throws with 38 seconds left to wrap up the victory.
  Semaj Roy came off the bench to lead Beloit (5-14, 2-9) with 12 points.
  Lawrence returns to action on Saturday when it travels to Lake Forest College.
