LAKE FOREST, Ill. -- The Lawrence University men's basketball team rallied late Saturday, but Lake Forest College held on for a 69-59 Midwest Conference victory at the Sports and Recreation Center.
  The Foresters built a 16-point lead in the first half and led by as many as 19 after the break, but Lawrence trimmed the margin all the way down to four before Lake Forest was able to recover.

Adnan Sarancic led Lawrence (8-12, 5-6 MWC) with 17 points and seven rebounds.
Elliot Jung added 15 points and six rebounds for the Vikings, and
Johnny Semany picked up 10 points and six rebounds.
  Lake Forest (9-11, 6-5) was hot from long range early as the Foresters went 5-for-9 from beyond the arc in the first half en route to building a 34-21 lead at the break. The Foresters quickly pushed the lead to 45-26 and were still up by 16 when the Vikings started to claw back into it.
  Lawrence went on a 9-0 run, with Jung scoring five of those points, to trim the margin to 55-48 with 6:08 remaining.Â
  After a Lake Forest basket,
Nick Hesch drained a 3-pointer to cut the lead back to 57-51. The teams traded misses before a pair of Semany free throws sliced the lead to 57-53 with 2:08 left.Â
  The teams then traded baskets before Sarancic's layup cut the margin to 61-57 with 45 seconds left. Frank Siegien's layup put Lake Forest up by six, and the Vikings turned it over on the ensuing possession. Lake Forest went 6-for-6 from the foul line in the final 31 seconds to secure the win.
