APPLETON, Wis. -- The Lawrence University football team dropped a 72-0 Midwest Conference decision to Illinois College on Saturday on Ron Roberts Field at the Banta Bowl.
  The Blueboys used a 35-point second quarter to build a 56-0 lead at the half. The Vikings were able to limit Illinois College more in the second half as the Blueboys continued to run their fast-paced, hurry-up offense until the final minutes.

Aidan Williams was harassed relentlessly by Illinois College's blitzing defense, which recorded eight sacks. Williams went 15-of-33 passing for 159 yards.
Logan Olson caught six passes for 47 yards to lead the Vikings, and
Alex Lippert had five catches for 72 yards. Olson also had a 51-yard gain wiped out by a penalty.

Kolbe Gelvin posted 11 tackles, all solo, to lead the Lawrence defense.
Chris Lozano added nine tackles, and
Donzel Andress had seven tackles, including 1.0 tackles for loss.Â
  Illinois College quarterback Destin Chance went 26-for-37 for 465 yards and eight touchdowns, and Collin Brunstein had seven catches for 289 yards and five touchdowns. Defensive lineman Garrett Bearden had seven tackles, including 6.5 TFLs and 4.0 sacks.
  Lawrence hits the road next Saturday when the Vikings travel to Knox College.
