DE PERE, Wis. -- The Lawrence University men's basketball team got off to a slow start Thursday and dropped an 86-55 nonconference decision to St. Norbert College at the Mulva Sports Center.
   The Vikings were down by double digits less than seven minutes into the game and trailed by as many as 20 points in the opening half. Lawrence never got closer than 19 points early in the second half.
   Lawrence shot a chilly 35 percent from the floor, including just 29 percent (9-31) from beyond the arc. The Vikings also got dominated on the glass as St. Norbert posted a 50-19 rebounding advantage.
   Rookie
Nicholas Gouriotis scored a game-high 15 points to pace Lawrence (0-3). Gouriotis went 6-for-14 from the floor, including 3-for-9 from 3-point range.
Casey Schoenecker came off the bench to add eight points, and
Jake Fisher had seven.
   Carter Gebler led St. Norbert (3-0) with 13 points.
   Lawrence returns to action on Saturday when the Vikings travel to Wisconsin Lutheran College.
