ELMHURST, Ill. -- A big fourth quarter proved to be the difference Sunday in the Lawrence University women's basketball team's 73-59 nonconference setback to Elmhurst College at Faganel Hall.
  The Bluejays scored 24 fourth-quarter points to pull away after Lawrence led late in the third quarter.

Mallory Meyer scored a game-high 22 points as she hit 8-of-14 shots from the floor and went 6-for-6 from the foul line. Meyer also pulled down six rebounds and handed out a pair of assists.

Sophie Morey was just one rebound shy of a double-double as she scored 10 points to go with nine rebounds in her first career start for the Vikings (8-4).
Maggie Culver added eight points and five rebounds for Lawrence, and
Charlotte Brennan had seven points and a game-high seven assists.
  The Vikings led 34-32 at the half, and Lawrence maintained that advantage throughout most of the third quarter. Morey's layup gave Lawrence a 46-43 edge with 3:01 left in the third, but Elmhurst scored six of the final seven points of the period to take a 49-47 lead heading to the fourth quarter.
  The Bluejays were up 52-49 after a pair of Morey free throws, but Elmhurst went on a 10-0 run to grab a 62-49 advantage.
Caroline Sharpe hit a jumper for the Vikings to stop the outburst, and Brennan hit a layup after a pair of Elmhurst free throws.
  Elmhurst hit another 3-pointer with 3:38 remaining to take a 67-53 lead. Lawrence never got closer than 10 points after that.
  Meyer carried the Lawrence offense in the opening half as she scored 16 points on 6-for-10 shooting from the floor to go with 4-for-4 from the foul line. The Vikings trailed 30-26 before Meyer hit a pair of free throws and Morey scored on a layup to tie it. Culver then made a pair of free throws, and Meyer hit a jumper to give Lawrence a 34-30 advantage.
  Shanyce Makuei had 20 points and 11 rebounds for Elmhurst (5-6).
