CLERMONT, Fla. -- The Lawrence University softball team started its spring break trip to Florida with a 12-1, five-inning nonconference setback to Macalester College on Friday.
  The game was scoreless headed to the fourth when the Scots exploded for six runs on seven hits in the frame. Macalester (8-7) added six more runs in the top of the fifth to break the game wide open.

Adrie Villa came around to score on
Janessa Gonzalez's single.
  Gonzalez led the Vikings by going 2-for-3 as Lawrence was limited to six hits.Â

Lizzy Angemi pitched the first four innings for the Vikings and took the loss. She allowed six runs on nine hits while striking out two and walking four.
