OSHKOSH, Wis. -- The Lawrence University softball team dropped a 6-1 nonconference decision to Wisconsin Lutheran College on Saturday at the UW-Oshkosh Rec Plex.
    The Vikings collected eight hits but scored just one run in the sixth inning. 
    Gillian Guerriero went 2-for-4 with a double and scored Lawrence's run. Mary Boyle went 2-for-3, and Mikayla Jeneske went 2-for-4 for the Vikings.
    Wisconsin Lutheran scored twice in the bottom of the first to take the lead. The Warriors, who had 12 hits on the day, added another run in the fourth.
    Lawrence got on the board in the sixth after Guerriero led off with a double. After a ground ball moved Guerriero to third, Lizzy Angemi singled to drive in the run and trim the lead to 3-1.
    Wisconsin Lutheran came back with three runs in the bottom half of the inning to pull away.
    Kourtney Mercer gave up eight hits over four innings and took the loss for Lawrence. She walked three and struck out one. Melissa Tonn scattered five hits over four scoreless innings to get the win.
