OSHKOSH, Wis. -- The Lawrence University softball team was limited to only three hits Saturday in a 5-1 nonconference loss to UW-Oshkosh at the Rec Plex.
The Vikings struck first with a run in the top of the first, but that was it for the Lawrence offense.
Mattigan Haller went 2-for-3 with a triple and a run scored to pace the Vikings (0-2).
Xiomara Rueda-Marshall made the start and allowed four runs on two hits in two innings. She walked four and struck out two. Maddie Fink went the distance for Oshkosh with 10 strikeouts and no walks to pick up the win.
Haller led off the game with a triple and scored on Janessa Gonzalez's squeeze bunt to give Lawrence a 1-0 lead. The Titans scored three times in the bottom half of the inning on two hits to take a 3-1 advantage.
Oshkosh tacked on single runs in the second and sixth for the final margin.
