OSHKOSH, Wis. -- The Lawrence University softball team dropped a 12-2 nonconference decision to UW-Superior on Sunday at the UW-Oshkosh Rec Plex.
  Superior rapped out 13 hits and pulled away with five runs in the second inning and four more in the third.

Mattigan Haller had one of Lawrence's six hits as she opened the bottom of the first with her first homer of the season. Haller's homer tied the game at 1-1, but the Vikings added another run in the frame to take the lead. Haller finished 1-for-3 with a run scored and a run driven in.

Mikayla Jeneske reached on error. After a fielder's choice,
Janessa Gonzalez reached on an error and Jeneske came home to score to give the Vikings a 2-1 lead.
  The Yellowjackets then struck for five runs in the second inning to grab a 6-2 lead. Superior added four more in the third and two more in the fifth for the final margin.

Xiomara Rueda-Marshall went 2-for-2 to lead the Vikings. She also pitched the first two innings and took the loss. Tayler Kraemer pitched the first three innings to collect the victory.
