GREENVILLE, Ill. -- The Lawrence University softball team dropped a nonconference doubleheader to Greenville University on Saturday at Panther Field.
  Greenville took the opener 12-1 in five innings, and the Panthers won the second game 9-1 in five innings.
  Lawrence (3-15) led 1-0 in the opener after scoring in the top of the first on
Mikayla Jeneske's solo homer. The Vikings kept that 1-0 advantage until Greenville (8-6) scored seven runs on seven hits in the bottom of the third. The Panthers then tacked on five more runs in the fourth to seal the victory.

Kourtney Mercer was the only Lawrence player with multiple hits in the opener as she went 2-for-3.
Xiomara Rueda-Marshall made the start and went 3.1 innings.Â
  In the second game, Greenville got to Lawrence starter
Lizzy Angemi for two runs in the second and three more in the third to pull away. Lawrence's lone run came in the fifth when
Janessa Gonzalez singled to score
Gillian Guerriero.
  Gonzalez led the Vikings by going 2-for-3.Â
  Lawrence is back in action on Sunday when the Vikings travel to Eureka College.Â
