GREEN BAY, Wis. -- The Lawrence University softball team lost both ends of a Midwest Conference doubleheader to Cornell College on Friday at King Field.
  Cornell took the opener 15-7, and the Rams won the nightcap 13-3 in five innings.
  In the first game,
Xiomara Rueda-Marshall went 2-for-3 with a homer and a triple and drove in three runs for the Vikings.
Janessa Gonzalez went 4-for-4 and drove in a run for Lawrence (4-18, 0-2 MWC).
Mattigan Haller went 2-for-4, scored three runs and drove in a run for the Vikings, and
Jordan Wallin-Swanson was 2-for-4.
  Cornell led 8-2 headed to the bottom of the fourth before Rueda-Marshall blasted a three-run homer and helped Lawrence trim the lead to 8-5. The Rams (7-11, 2-0) then scored six times in the sixth to help seal the victory.
  In the second game, Cornell pitcher Daelynn Rhoades limited the Vikings to three hits over the first four innings to pick up the win.
Mikayla Jeneske led Lawrence by going 2-for-3 with a run batted in.
  Cornell broke the game open by scoring eight runs in the second, and Rams tacked on three more runs in the fourth and two in the fifth. Lawrence got a run-scoring single from
Gillian Guerriero in the fourth and an RBI single from Jeneske in the fifth.  Â
