APPLETON, Wis. -- The Lawrence University women's soccer team dropped a tough 1-0 nonconference decision to Concordia University Wisconsin on Friday on Ron Roberts Field at the Banta Bowl.
    Concordia scored in the 19th minute for the only tally of the contest.
    Lawrence dominated play early, but the Falcons converted off a corner kick at 18:52. Concordia played short off the corner, and the ball was then fired toward the box where Sabrina Moore redirected it into the net.
    The Vikings finished with a 14-13 edge in shots, including an 8-7 edge in shots on goal.
    Audri Klionsky made six saves in her Lawrence debut, and Brooke Braga stopped eight shots for the Falcons.
    Lawrence returns to action on Sunday when the Vikings travel to Lakeland University.
