APPLETON, Wis. -- The Lawrence University women's volleyball team fell 3-0 to Mount Mary University on Friday in a nonconference match at the Lawrence Invitational.
  The Blue Angels won 25-21, 25-5, 25-15 in front of a large, raucous crowd at Alexander Gymnasium.
  Lawrence took control early in the opening set and built a 14-8 advantage before Mount Mary found its stride and went on a 10-2 run to grab an 18-16 lead. Lawrence kept it close at 20-18, but the Blue Angels scored the next three points to pull away.
  Everything went Mount Mary's way in the second set as the Blue Angels rolled to the set victory, and Mount Mary pulled away early in the third set. Lawrence led 3-2 before Mount Mary scored the next 13 points. Lawrence never got closer than nine points the rest of the way.

Hilirie McLaughlin had five kills for the Vikings, and
Cora Linos had 11 assists to go with four kills.
Callista Lo picked up 12 digs and three kills for Lawrence, and
Taylor Hughes added 11 digs.
  Lawrence will face Northland College and Marian University on Saturday at its home tournament.
