MILWAUKEE, Wis. -- The Lawrence University volleyball team rallied to force a fifth set Tuesday, but Alverno College held on for a 3-2 nonconference victory at Reiman Gymnasium.
  Alverno posted a 25-20, 20-25, 25-15, 10-25, 15-11 victory over the Vikings.

Aliana Butler-Gray recorded a team-best 12 kills to go with 10 blocks, 11 digs and four aces for Lawrence.
Mikala Seymour added seven kills on just 12 attacks and posted a .500 hitting percentage. Seymour also added five blocks.Â

Cora Linos picked up 25 assists and had six kills, five blocks and three digs.
Bailey Nez led Lawrence with 23 digs and added four kills, four assists and three aces.
Callista Lo and
Taylor Hughes added 10 digs apiece.
  After dropping the opening set, Lawrence had just one attack error in the second set and posted a .286 hitting percentage to even the match at 1-1. Lawrence then trailed 2-1 before posting a .240 hitting percentage in while rolling to a win in the fourth set.
  Alverno jumped out to a 7-2 lead in the final set, but Lawrence rallied and trimmed the lead to 12-9. The teams then traded points until Alverno closed out the match.Â
