APPLETON, Wis. -- The Lawrence University men's soccer team came up short in a 2-1 nonconference loss to Saint Mary's University on Wednesday night on Ron Roberts Field at the Banta Bowl.
The Cardinals built a 2-0 lead before Lawrence struck for a goal with just over 20 minutes remaining. Lawrence couldn't get the equalizer, and Saint Mary's hung on for the win.

Lawrence bounced back just a few minutes later.
Rodrigo Angulo's ball into the box found the head of
Zach Dale, who buried the ball in the back of the net at the 69:30 mark to slice the lead in half.
That would be it for the scoring as both teams had quality chances in the final 20 minutes. Saint Mary's posted a 25-6 edge in shots for the match.
