RIPON, Wis. -- The Lawrence University men's basketball team saw Ripon College pull away early in the second half Wednesday en route to a 75-52 Midwest Conference victory at Weiske Gymnasium.
  Lawrence trailed 32-27 at the half, but Ripon outscored the Vikings 17-6 over the first five-plus minutes of the second half. That gave Ripon a 49-33 advantage, and the Vikings never got closer than 14 points the rest of the way.
  Rookie guard
Hogan Demovsky led the Vikings with 14 points as he went 4-for-7 from the floor and 4-for-5 from the foul line. Demovsky also added six rebounds.Â
  First-year forward
Casey Schoenecker added 13 points as he went 5-for-7 from the floor for the Vikings. Lawrence's
Adnan Sarancic chipped in with 11 points and had a game-high seven rebounds and a team-best four assists.
Nicholas Gouriotis added seven points and five rebounds, and
Jake Fisher had five points and matched Sarancic with seven rebounds.
  Lawrence returns to action on Saturday when the Vikings host Monmouth College.
