LAKE FOREST, Ill. -- The Lawrence University women's basketball team fell behind by double digits late in the first quarter Saturday and never recovered in a 79-70 Midwest Conference loss to Lake Forest College at the Sports and Recreation Center.
  The Vikings trailed by 10 after the first quarter and by 15 at the half, and Lawrence never got closer than eight points in the second half.

Maggie Culver led Lawrence (12-8, 6-5 MWC) with 21 points as she went 7-for-14 from the floor, including 3-for-4 from beyond the arc. Culver also grabbed a team-best five rebounds.Â

Charlotte Brennan added 16 points as she hit 5-of-6 shots from the floor, and the first-year guard added six assists for the Vikings.
Mallory Meyer and
Karly Becker added eight points apiece for Lawrence.
  Rebecca Christodoulou led Lake Forest (4-15, 3-8) with 23 points.
