Vikings take road loss at Illinois College

JACKSONVILLE, Ill. -- The Lawrence University football team dropped an 84-0 Midwest Conference decision to Illinois College on Saturday at England Stadium.
Illinois College used its combination of All-America quarterback Destin Chance and All-America wide receiver Collin Brunstein to do the damage. Chance was 14-of-20 for 341 yards, and Brunstein had six catches for 190 yards.
The Blueboys put up 21 points in each of the first two quarters and then added 28 more in the third.
Lawrence quarterback Aidan Williams was limited to 9-of-24 passing for 85 yards. Lawrence standout receiver Alex Lippert was held to just two catches for 17 yards. Hunter Carlson led Lawrence's ground game with 13 carries for 42 yards, and Kebron Miles added 14 carries for 39 yards.
Jacob Stanley tied Jon Pasquarello for the team lead with five tackles, and Stanley picked off his first pass of the season. Cornerback Jahlan Paul recorded his seventh interception of the season, and that total leads the Midwest Conference.
Lawrence returns to the Banta Bowl next Saturday for a homecoming matchup with the University of Chicago.
