OSHKOSH, Wis. -- The Lawrence University volleyball team dropped a 3-0 nonconference decision to No. 7 UW-Oshkosh on Tuesday at Kolf Sports Center.
    The Titans defeated Lawrence 25-7, 25-7, 26-24. 
    Hazel Cook led the Lawrence attack by picking up 11 kills to go with three digs and a service ace. Margaret Hahnke added nine kills and nine digs for the Vikings (6-15). 
    Cora Linos notched 17 assists for Lawrence and recorded two digs, a pair of aces and eight digs. Daphne Piotrowski chipped in with six digs, and Aliana Butler Gray had two kills and two digs. 
    After taking the first two sets, Oshkosh (17-4) had trouble closing out the match. Lawrence hung with the Titans in the third set, and Lawrence had a set point. Oshkosh, with the help of serve that hit the top of the net and trickled over for an ace, scored the final three points and closed out the match.
    Lawrence returns to Midwest Conference play on Saturday when it hosts Grinnell College.
