BELOIT, Wis. -- Aidan Greer posted a hat trick Wednesday as the Lawrence University men's soccer team rolled to a 4-0 Midwest Conference victory over Beloit College at Strong Soccer Field.
    Greer had a natural hat trick as he scored the game's first three goals, and did it in the span of the game's first 47 minutes. It was the first career hat trick for Greer and the first for a Lawrence player since Konstantinos Fardellas did it against Finlandia University back in 2021.
    Greer, who leads the team with four goals and five assists this season, got the scoring started in the 21st minute. Greer took a pass from Rodrigo Angulo and beat Beloit goalkeeper David Staats for a 1-0 advantage.
    It didn't take long for the Vikings to double that lead when Greer scored an unassisted goal at the 27:11 mark for a 2-0 edge. The Vikings carried that two-goal lead into halftime.
    Lawrence (2-6-4, 1-0-2 MWC) then drew a foul in the Beloit penalty box just 1:55 into the second half. Greer converted the penalty kick at 46:55 to complete the hat trick and give Lawrence a 3-0 lead.
    Greer had a hand in Lawrence's final goal of the day as he assisted on Kale Hunt's first collegiate goal at 53:39 for the final margin.
    Lawrence goalkeeper Nason Lancina recorded seven saves to pick up his first shutout of the season. Staats played the first 56:41 and finished with six saves for Beloit (2-11-0, 1-2-0).
    The Vikings return to action on Saturday when Lawrence hosts Lake Forest College in a Midwest Conference game.
