APPLETON, Wis. -- The Lawrence University women's basketball team endured a cold shooting day in a 65-57 nonconference loss to St. Norbert College on Saturday at Alexander Gymnasium.
Lawrence (1-2) shot just 29.3 percent from the floor, but the Vikings led after three quarters.
 Â
Charlotte Brennan poured in 24 points for the Vikings to lead all scorers. Brennan went 4-for-7 from 3-point range and 10-for-12 from the foul line.
Maggie Culver added 13 points and had a double-double with a game-high 11 rebounds.
The Vikings built a 39-29 lead with 6:47 left in the third quarter after Culver drained a 3-pointer. Lawrence went 7-for-19 from beyond the arc in the game.Â
St. Norbert (3-0) scored the next 11 points to tie the game at 39-39, and Lawrence took a 44-43 lead into the fourth quarter. The Green Knights then scored the game's next nine points to go up 52-44.Â
St. Norbert pushed the lead to 61-50, but the Vikings would trim the lead back to 63-57 on a pair of free throws by Culver. That's as close as the Vikings would get.
