Jahlan Paul and
Alex Lippert have been honored on the All-Midwest Conference team in a vote of league coaches.
  Paul was chosen as Newcomer of the Year along with being a first-team selection. Lippert was a first-team choice and was honored for the second consecutive season.
  A first-year cornerback, Paul (North Lauderdale, Fla./Westminster) quickly established himself as one of the league's top defensive backs. He led the Midwest Conference with seven interceptions and 13 pass breakups.Â
  Paul ranks first in all of NCAA Division III in passes defended at 2.0 per game. He also ranks second in the nation in interceptions at 0.7 per contest.Â
  Paul posted a season-high two interceptions in a game twice this season. He picked off a pair of passes against Cornell College and then did it again against Beloit College. Paul returned his second interception against Beloit 50 yards for a touchdown to seal a 24-10 victory over the Bucs.
  Paul finished the season with 22 tackles and one fumble recovery. He finished with a season-high five tackles and a season-best four pass breakups against the University of Chicago.
  A senior wide receiver, Lippert (Lake View, N.Y./Frontier) was the Vikings' primary target for the second consecutive season. Lippert caught 55 passes for 764 yards and six touchdowns on the campaign.
  Lippert hit season highs in three categories against Knox College with eight catches for 127 yards and three touchdowns. Lippert, who posted two 100-yard receiving games on the season, finished with at least five catches in seven of Lawrence's 10 games. He had a season-best 52-yard catch against the University of Chicago.
  Despite playing just two seasons at Lawrence, Lippert is among the school's career receiving leaders. Over the last two seasons, Lippert caught 111 passes for 1,532 yards and 17 touchdowns. Lippert averaged 6.2 catches per game and an average of 13.8 yards per catch. He averaged 85.1 receiving yards per game. Â
