Lawrence falls to Sabres in four sets

    FOND DU LAC, Wis. -- The Lawrence University volleyball team dropped a 3-1 nonconference decision to Marian University on Tuesday at Sadoff Gymnasium.
    Marian defeated the Vikings 25-22, 25-14, 22-25, 25-16.
    Lawrence was limited to just a .062 hitting percentage for the match while the Sabres hit .180.
    Hazel Cook paced Lawrence (10-20) with 16 kills, and she picked up seven digs. Margaret Hahnke added 14 kills and nine digs for the Vikings to go along with two blocks, four assists and an ace.
    Lawrence setter Cora Linois had 26 assists and collected nine digs. Daphne Piotrowski led Lawrence with 12 digs. 
    The Vikings wrap up the regular season on Friday when they travel to Ripon College.
